"Siamo Alpi" Cultural archive of Valtellina and Valchiavenna

Some libraries and museums in the provincial territory are involved in an ambitious and innovative project that will make available, in a single cultural portal, the rich bibliographic, photographic and document heritage of our Alpine territory.

The "Siamo Alpi" project aims to integrate already active databases (SIRBeC / Lombardia Beni Culturali and Catalogo dell biblioteche della rete provinciale), but also to enrich the new cultural portal with suggestive photographic images, of great interest for the knowledge of the landscape, history and local traditions. The strength of the project is the voice of the local people, directly involved in the choice of images and their descriptions, in a story that is significant for the community, but also for anyone consulting the portal.
